Grammarly is a writing assistant that checks grammar, spelling and tone as you type in more than a million apps and websites. Its paid plan adds full-sentence rewrites, plagiarism and AI-text detection, and more AI prompts.

  • Grammar and spelling. Catches typos, punctuation mistakes and commonly confused words as you write.
  • Full-sentence rewrites. Suggests rewrites of whole sentences or paragraphs that you accept with a click (Pro).
  • Tone adjustment. Shows how your writing sounds and suggests changes to make it more formal or friendly (adjustment on Pro).
  • AI prompts. Drafts and outlines text from prompts, with a monthly limit per plan.
  • Plagiarism checker. Compares text against web pages and academic papers and flags passages that need citations (Pro).
  • Works everywhere you write. Runs in more than a million apps and websites, with support in 20+ languages.
