Peec AI Alternatives (2026): 5 Options Compared on Price per Prompt
This page has no affiliate links right now: every link goes straight to the vendor. How we make money.
Peec AI shows how often ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI answers mention your brand. Its plans start at $95/mo. Here are five Peec AI alternatives, with what each one costs per tracked prompt.
The short answer
For the lowest bill, Otterly.ai starts at $29/mo (15 prompts). If you also need Google rank tracking, SE Ranking Core ($129/mo) includes 100 AI prompts. Already on Semrush? Its AI Search Starter plan is $199/mo. Large brands can look at Profound (custom pricing).
Peec AI in one paragraph
An AI visibility tool runs a list of questions (called prompts) through AI assistants every day and records whether your brand is mentioned or your site is cited. Peec AI does this for marketing teams and agencies. Starter costs $95/mo for 50 prompts on 3 AI models you choose, 1 project and unlimited users. Pro is $245/mo (150 prompts) and Advanced $495/mo (350 prompts). Yearly billing is 15% off, and each extra model costs more (from $35/mo on Starter). There’s a free trial, but Peec doesn’t say how long it lasts.
New to the idea? Our plain-English guide explains what AEO (answer engine optimization) is.
Why people look for a Peec AI alternative
- No small plan. The cheapest plan is $95/mo. There’s no free plan and no tier with fewer prompts.
- 3 models per plan. Self-serve plans track 3 models. Each extra model is a paid add-on, and API access and SSO are only on custom-priced Enterprise.
- AI answers only. Peec doesn’t track Google rankings or audit your site, so many teams pay for a separate SEO tool as well.
None of this makes Peec a poor choice. Unlimited users, daily tracking and model choice on every plan are real strengths. The question is whether you need them.

What each Peec AI alternative costs per prompt
The cheapest plan is not always the cheapest per question tracked. This table divides each plan’s monthly price by the prompts it tracks daily.
| Plan | Price/mo | Prompts | AI engines | Per prompt |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Peec AI Starter | $95 | 50 | 3 of your choice | $1.90 |
| Peec AI Pro | $245 | 150 | 3 of your choice | $1.63 |
| Otterly.ai Lite | $29 | 15 | ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot | $1.93 |
| Otterly.ai Standard | $189 | 100 | Same 4 | $1.89 |
| SE Ranking Core | $129 | 100 + 2,000 keywords | Not listed per plan | $1.29 |
| Semrush SEO + AI Search Starter | $199 | 50 + 500 keywords | Not listed per plan | $3.98 |
| Frase Starter | $49 | Not stated | ChatGPT, Google AI | — |
| Profound Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Up to 9 | — |
Monthly billing, list prices checked October 10, 2026. “Per prompt” ignores everything else in the plan, such as SEO tools, seats or add-ons. SE Ranking and Semrush include full SEO toolkits in the same price.
Two things stand out. Otterly Lite is cheaper to start, but not cheaper per prompt than Peec Starter. And if you already need an SEO suite, SE Ranking Core gives the most prompts for the money in this table.
How we chose
We looked for tools that do Peec AI’s core job, tracking how AI answers mention a brand, and read each pricing page on October 10, 2026. We compared published prompt limits, engines and trial terms only. We haven’t tested these tools hands-on yet, so we don’t claim any of them gives more accurate results than Peec AI.
Other tools that come up in searches for Peec alternatives, such as LLMrefs, Scrunch, AthenaHQ and Rankscale, aren’t covered here because we haven’t checked their plans yet.

How to choose in three steps
- List your prompts. Write down the questions customers ask before they buy. Fewer than 15? Otterly Lite fits. Around 50 or more? Compare Peec Starter, SE Ranking Core and Semrush Starter.
- Pick your engines. If Gemini, Google AI Mode or Claude matter to you, check whether they’re included or cost extra. Otterly charges extra for all three; Peec lets you choose 3 models per plan.
- Decide if you need SEO too. If you already pay for an SEO suite, see whether it can track AI answers before adding another bill. If you don’t, an AI-only tool like Peec or Otterly is simpler.
Most of these tools offer a trial, so run the same 10–15 prompts in two of them for a week and compare what they report.
When to stay with Peec AI
- Several people need access. Every self-serve Peec plan includes unlimited users.
- You want to choose which 3 AI models to track rather than accept a fixed set.
- You use its source analysis to see which websites AI models cite, or its Looker Studio integration on Advanced.
Paying yearly takes 15% off the monthly price. For a wider view of this category, see our list of the best AEO tools, all AI SEO & AEO tools, or our Semrush alternatives if you’re weighing an SEO suite instead.
FAQ
Is Peec AI worth it?
It depends on what else you need. Per tracked prompt, Peec Starter ($95/mo for 50 prompts, about $1.90 each) costs about the same as Otterly.ai, and it includes unlimited users. If you also need Google rank tracking, SE Ranking Core ($129/mo) covers both jobs. We haven’t tested Peec AI hands-on, so this is based on published plans checked October 10, 2026.
What is the cheapest alternative to Peec AI?
Otterly.ai Lite has the lowest entry price at $29/mo for 15 prompts. Per prompt, SE Ranking Core was the lowest in our table at about $1.29, and it includes SEO tools, but the plan itself costs $129/mo.
How many prompts do I need to track?
A prompt is one question the tool asks AI assistants for you every day, such as “best project management tool for agencies”. No vendor publishes a recommended number. A practical start is to list the real questions your customers ask before they buy, then pick a plan that fits that list. Otterly’s Lite plan (15) suits a short list; Peec Starter and Semrush Starter fit 50.
Is Otterly.AI better than Peec AI?
We haven’t tested them side by side. On paper, Otterly is cheaper to start ($29 vs $95) and includes 4 fixed engines, while Peec lets you choose 3 models, has more prompts per plan and includes unlimited users. Per prompt they cost about the same.
Do these tools track Google AI Overviews and AI Mode?
Otterly.ai includes AI Overviews on every plan; AI Mode is a paid add-on. Peec AI lists both AI Overviews and AI Mode among the models you can choose. Semrush lists AI Overviews on its SEO + AI Search plans, Frase lists “Google AI” on Starter, and Profound’s trial includes AI Overviews. SE Ranking’s pricing page doesn’t break engines down by plan, so check in the trial.
