MindStudio is a no-code builder for making your own AI agents (programs that follow steps and call AI models for you) and sharing them as apps.

The short answer

Choose Lindy if you want help with email, meetings and Slack chores now, with nothing to build. It costs $29.99/mo per user.

Choose MindStudio if you want to build your own AI tools. It has a free plan; Individual is $20/mo plus AI usage.

Lindy vs MindStudio pricing

The two tools charge in different ways. Lindy sells credits, and the AI work comes out of them. MindStudio sells a flat plan, then bills the AI models your agents use on top, at the price the model provider charges.

Lindy pricing

PlanPriceWhat you get
Free$0$50 in credits, lasting 7 days; no credit card
Team$29.99/mo per active user3,000 credits a month each; choose the AI model per task; top-ups $10 per 1,000 credits
EnterpriseCustomCustom credits, HIPAA with a signed BAA, SSO and SCIM, audit logs, dedicated support

Every active user in a Lindy workspace is billed, so a team of five on Team costs about $150 a month. Monthly credits reset each cycle and don’t roll over; top-up credits stay until you use them. If credits run out, Lindy pauses credit-using work until the next cycle rather than sending a surprise bill. No annual price is listed.

Lindy’s prices have moved recently. On October 12, 2026, its plans table showed Team at $49.99 with 5,000 credits; on October 14, 2026 it showed $29.99 with 3,000 credits. The page also mentions “Pro and Max” for computer use without listing those plans. Check the page before you buy.

MindStudio pricing

PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearlyWhat you get
Free$0 + usage—1 agent, 1,000 runs a month, 200+ AI models
Individual$20/mo + usage$16/mo + usageUnlimited agents and runs
BusinessCustomCustomUnlimited collaborators, permissions, SSO, audit logs, budgets, self-hosting, custom domains

“Plus usage” means you pay for the AI models your agents call, billed by tokens (small chunks of text). MindStudio says it adds no markup, but its pricing page doesn’t list per-model rates. You can set spending limits per agent and in total, so a busy agent can’t run up an open-ended bill. You can also bring your own AI provider keys.

Which costs less?

For one person, MindStudio’s plan fee is lower: $16–$20 a month against Lindy’s $29.99. But your MindStudio bill also depends on how much AI your agents use, and a lightweight model costs far less than a top model. Lindy’s price is easier to predict, since AI work comes out of your 3,000 credits. For teams, Lindy charges per user, while MindStudio’s team features sit in the custom-priced Business plan.

How each tool works day to day

Lindy: you ask, it does

Lindy works where you already talk. You message it in Slack, iMessage, email or its Chrome extension, and it replies in the thread. It can draft and send email replies, join meetings and file the notes, and run routines on a timer, such as a morning brief or a weekly report.

Lindy says nothing irreversible happens without your approval: actions that write or send can wait for a yes. What it remembers is kept in plain files you can open and edit. When a task works well, you can save it as a skill the whole team can reuse.

MindStudio: you build, then share

In MindStudio you lay out an agent’s steps in a visual editor, test runs and compare models side by side. You can start from one of 100+ templates or describe the agent and let its AI assistant draft it.

Then you choose how people use it: as a web app with a form, a button in the free Chrome extension, an agent that runs when an email arrives, a scheduled job, an API endpoint or an MCP server. That makes it a good fit when you want to hand a finished AI tool to coworkers or clients.

Lindy: who it’s for / skip it if

Who it’s for: busy founders, sales and ops teams who live in email and Slack and want an assistant that handles routine work, with approval before anything is sent.

Skip it if: you want to build and share your own AI tools, or you need a long free plan. The free credits last 7 days, every active user is billed, and monthly credits don’t roll over.

MindStudio: who it’s for / skip it if

Who it’s for: creators, consultants and small businesses who want to build custom AI agents or apps without code, and choose the model for each step.

Skip it if: you want an assistant that works out of the box, or you need one fixed monthly cost. AI usage is billed on top of the plan, and team features need the custom Business plan.

FAQ

What is the difference between Lindy and MindStudio?

Lindy is a ready-made AI assistant that does tasks for you in email, Slack and meetings. MindStudio is a builder: you design your own AI agents and apps, then share them as a web app, browser button or API. Lindy is closer to hiring an assistant; MindStudio is closer to building a tool.

Is Lindy or MindStudio cheaper?

On October 14, 2026, MindStudio Individual cost $20/mo ($16/mo billed yearly) plus AI model usage, and Lindy Team cost $29.99/mo per active user with 3,000 credits. For one person, MindStudio’s plan fee is lower, but its AI usage is extra. For a team, Lindy’s per-user price adds up with every member.

Does Lindy or MindStudio have a free plan?

MindStudio has a lasting free plan with 1 agent and 1,000 runs a month; you still pay for AI model usage. Lindy gives $50 in credits with no card, but they last 7 days, so it works like a trial.

Do I need to code to use Lindy or MindStudio?

No. Lindy is used by asking it for things in plain language. MindStudio uses a visual editor and can draft an agent from your description. Developers can add JavaScript or Python functions in MindStudio if they want.

What is a credit in Lindy and a run in MindStudio?

Lindy says credits measure the work it does: quick asks like a summary use 2–250 credits, and big builds like a dashboard use 1,000–2,500. In MindStudio, a run is one execution of an agent; the AI model cost for that run is billed separately by tokens.

Do Lindy and MindStudio train AI on my data?

Both say no. Lindy’s homepage says your data is never sold or used to train models. MindStudio says AI models are never trained or fine-tuned on customer data.
