Instantly vs lemlist is a choice between sending volume and channels. Both are cold email tools: they send personalized emails to people who haven’t heard from you yet, follow up automatically and warm up your inboxes. Instantly is built to send a lot of email from many inboxes. lemlist adds LinkedIn, calls and SMS to the same sequence.

The short answer

Choose Instantly if you only need email and start small: Growth is $47/mo for 5,000 emails.

Choose lemlist if you send more, share with a team or want LinkedIn steps: Email is $69/mo for 50,000 emails and unlimited users.

Instantly vs lemlist pricing

The two tools limit different things. Instantly caps the emails you send and the contacts you upload, but not the number of inboxes. lemlist’s Email plan caps emails at 50,000 a month and lets anyone on your team use it.

Outreach Hypergrowth$97/mo$77.60/mo125,000 emails (100,000 in the page’s comparison table) and 25,000 contacts

Scale bundle$194/mo$175/mo100,000 emails, 25,000 contacts, 5,000 credits, AI Reply Agent

Outreach plans don’t include lead data. To find new contacts in Instantly’s 450M+ database, you add a Credits plan (Growth Credits is $47/mo for 1,500 credits) or buy a bundle. Yearly billing saves 20% on Outreach plans and 10% on bundles.

Instantly’s pricing page contradicted itself on our check date. In one place Hypergrowth was $97/mo; in another it was $358/mo. The email limit for Hypergrowth also appeared as both 125,000 and 100,000. Check the live page or ask sales before you pay.

lemlist’s add-ons cost extra: lead enrichment is $20/mo ($16 yearly) for 2,000 credits, which the page says is about 400 emails or 100 phone numbers, and buying-intent signals are $29/mo ($21 yearly). WhatsApp is an add-on with no price shown. lemlist says you’re only charged credits for successful results, and unused credits roll over while you subscribe. It bills in dollars, euros or pounds depending on where you are; these are the prices shown to a US visitor.

What you’d pay: three examples

Here is what the published prices mean for three common setups, billed monthly. Lead data is left out, since both tools charge for it in credits.

Your setupInstantlylemlist
One person, 5,000 emails a month to your own list of under 1,000 contactsGrowth, $47/moEmail, $69/mo
20,000 emails a month to 5,000 contactsHypergrowth, $97/mo (Growth’s caps are too low)Email, $69/mo
Email plus LinkedIn steps in one sequenceNot listed on its pricing pageMultichannel, from $109/mo

So Instantly is cheaper at the smallest size, and lemlist is cheaper once you pass 5,000 emails or 1,000 contacts a month, up to its 50,000-email cap. For several people, lemlist’s Email plan is the clearer deal because it lists unlimited users. Instantly’s page doesn’t say whether its prices are per user, so ask before you add a team.

Features that differ

Sending and deliverability

Deliverability means how many of your emails land in the inbox instead of spam. Both tools include warmup: they send and answer small amounts of email between real inboxes so a new address builds a good reputation. Instantly lets you connect unlimited inboxes on every plan and adds inbox placement tests. lemlist includes lemwarm on all plans and a Deliverability Hub that watches mailbox and domain health.

Channels

lemlist’s Multichannel plan puts email, LinkedIn steps, calls and SMS in one sequence, with replies in one inbox. Instantly’s pricing page and homepage describe email outreach, a CRM, website-visitor identification and AI agents, but didn’t list LinkedIn, calls or SMS on our check date.

AI features

Instantly lists an AI Sales Agent, an AI Reply Agent (from the Scale bundle) and a Lead Finder Agent. lemlist lists lemAgent and agents for buying signals, enrichment and messaging, plus an MCP server and a command-line tool. Neither page shows how well these agents write, so judge them on a real campaign during the trial.

Instantly: who it’s for / skip it if

Who it’s for: founders, freelancers and agencies running email-only campaigns who want many sending inboxes and a low starting price.

Skip it if: you need LinkedIn steps, or you want one predictable price page. Lead data costs extra, Growth caps uploaded contacts at 1,000, and some figures on its pricing page conflict.

lemlist: who it’s for / skip it if

Who it’s for: small sales teams sending more than a few thousand emails a month, and anyone who wants email, LinkedIn and calls in one sequence.

Skip it if: you send under 5,000 emails a month on your own, where Instantly costs less, or you need multichannel for a big team, since Multichannel rises with every user.

How we compared them

We read both pricing pages and homepages on October 15, 2026, using a US connection for prices, and compared what each plan limits, what it costs at three sizes, the channels offered and how lead data is charged. We haven’t tested either tool hands-on yet. Neither link on this page is an affiliate link.

Before you send, clean your list: an email checker such as Bouncer ($8 per 1,000 checks) removes bad addresses that hurt your sender reputation. In the US, the FTC’s CAN-SPAM guide also applies to business email.

FAQ

What is the difference between Instantly and lemlist?

Both send cold email campaigns with warmup and a lead database. Instantly is built around volume: unlimited sending inboxes, with plans capped by emails and uploaded contacts. lemlist is built around channels: its Email plan covers email, and its Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn, calls and SMS in the same sequence.

Is Instantly cheaper than lemlist?

For small volumes, yes. On October 15, 2026, Instantly Outreach Growth cost $47/mo ($37.60 billed yearly) for 5,000 emails a month, against $69/mo ($55 yearly) for lemlist’s Email plan. Above 5,000 emails or 1,000 contacts a month, Instantly’s next plan is $97/mo, and lemlist’s Email plan, with 50,000 emails, becomes the cheaper of the two.

Does Instantly do LinkedIn outreach?

Instantly’s pricing page and homepage did not list LinkedIn steps on our check date; they describe email campaigns, lead data, a CRM and AI agents. If LinkedIn messages and connection requests are part of your plan, lemlist’s Multichannel plan includes them.

Do Instantly and lemlist include leads?

Both have a B2B lead database, but you pay for contacts with credits. Instantly sells credits as separate Credits plans or in bundles, starting with Starter at $94/mo. lemlist says its 650M+ database is in all plans; credits pay for found emails and phones, and an enrichment add-on costs $20/mo for 2,000 credits.

Do Instantly and lemlist have free trials?

Yes, both let you start without a card. lemlist’s FAQ describes a 14-day trial with Multichannel features (except in-app calls) and 200 credits. Instantly says “Start free” and “No credit card required” but doesn’t state how long the free start lasts.

Is cold email legal?

In the US it is, if you follow the CAN-SPAM Act. The FTC says it covers business email too: honest sender details and subject lines, a postal address and a working opt-out. Other countries, such as those in the EU, have stricter rules. This isn’t legal advice.
