Best AI Website Builders (2026): 5 Picks for Every Kind of Site

This page has no affiliate links right now: every link goes straight to the vendor. If that changes, we'll say so here. How we make money.

An AI website builder drafts your site from a short description, so you start by editing instead of staring at a blank page.

The five builders here suit very different people: a first-time site owner on a tight budget, a small business that may sell online, a local service that wants bookings, a designer, and a marketing team that needs a CMS. For each we list what the cheapest paid plan includes and what it really costs after the first term.

The short answer

Cheapest first year: Hostinger ($2.99/mo on a 4-year term, renews at $10.99/mo). Best all-rounder with a free plan: Wix. For local services with bookings: Durable. For design-led sites: Framer from $10/mo. For custom marketing sites with a CMS: Webflow.

What the “AI” in a website builder really does

In plain terms, the AI does three jobs:

  1. Drafts the site. You describe your business in a sentence or answer a few questions, and it creates pages, a layout and placeholder text and images.
  2. Writes and rewrites text. Headlines, service descriptions, product pages and sometimes blog posts.
  3. Helps after launch. Some builders add AI for SEO suggestions, replies to leads and reviews, or translation.

What it doesn’t do: know your business. AI drafts use generic wording and stock images. Swap in your real services, prices, photos and contact details before you publish.

How we chose

We picked five widely used builders that cover different needs and publish their prices, and read each one's official pricing page on October 9, 2026. We haven't built sites with them hands-on yet, so we don't rank them; each pick says who it suits and who should skip it.

We haven't covered Squarespace, 10Web or GoDaddy yet. We'll add them once we've checked their plans the same way.

FAQ

What is an AI website builder?

An AI website builder creates a first draft of your site from a short description of your business: pages, layout, text and images. You then edit it like a normal website builder. The AI saves you the blank page; you still need to check every word and photo.

What is the cheapest AI website builder?

In this guide on October 9, 2026, Hostinger Website Builder had the lowest monthly price at $2.99/mo, but only on a 48-month term paid up front ($143.52), renewing at $10.99/mo. Framer Basic was $10/mo. Wix, Framer, Durable and Webflow all have free plans on their own subdomains.

Can I build a website with AI for free?

Yes, on a subdomain. Wix, Framer, Durable and Webflow all offer free plans, but your address will be something like yourname.wixsite.com or yourname.durable.site. For your own domain you need a paid plan.

Which AI website builder is best for a small business?

It depends on the business. Local services that need bookings and a CRM fit Durable. Businesses that may sell online later fit Wix or Hostinger’s Unlimited plan. If design matters most, look at Framer or Webflow.

Do AI website builders include a domain and email?

Some do, for the first year. Hostinger Premium includes a custom domain and two mailboxes per site free for 1 year. Wix includes a free domain for 1 year on yearly plans but not email. Durable Launch includes one free domain registration.

Is a site made with an AI builder good for SEO?

It can be. The builder handles the technical basics; rankings depend on useful pages, clear titles and real content about your business. Check that you can edit page titles and descriptions, and connect Google Search Console after launch.
